TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
Effective Date: December 12, 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the website of MLC LASER RENTALS ONTARIO LTD. (“MLC Lasers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including the rental services, product sales, and enrollment in the MLC Lasers Academy (including online and in-person courses), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these T&C, you must not use our services.
2. Services Offered
MLC Lasers offers three primary services governed by these T&C:

Equipment Rental: Rental of licensed medical aesthetic devices.

MLC Lasers Academy: Provision of laser technician training courses (online and in-person).

Product Sales: Sale of aesthetic and related products.
3. Eligibility and Compliance with Ontario Law
A. Medical Device Establishment License (MDEL): MLC Laser Rentals operates under a valid Medical Device Establishment License (MDEL) as required by Health Canada regulations (SOR/98-282).
B. Renter Responsibility: All renters and service users acknowledge that medical aesthetic equipment (such as the Alma Soprano series) is a licensed medical device in Ontario. The Renter/User must comply with all provincial and federal laws, standards, and public health requirements.
C. Legal Warning: Renting from an unlicensed provider or operating equipment outside regulatory compliance exposes the renter to legal fines (up to $25,000 for individuals and $250,000 for corporations), penalties, liability, and potential seizure of equipment by regulatory authorities. By accepting these T&C, you agree to comply with all applicable Ontario laws.
D. Course Eligibility: Enrollment in the MLC Lasers Academy may require meeting specific prerequisites, including professional qualifications and/or satisfactory medical status, as determined by MLC Lasers.
4. Equipment Rental Policy
The following terms apply specifically to the rental of equipment:
A. Delivery and Access (Stairs)
If your location has stairs, you must confirm this by answering YES/NO during the booking process. If YES, you are required to arrange for proper assistance at the time of delivery. Failure to do so may result in additional charges. Delivery occurs the evening before the rental, between 6:00 PM – 12:30 AM.
B. Rental Duration and Late Fees
The standard rental period is 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (12 hours). Late Fees: If the machine is still in use after 8:00 PM, the following fees apply:

$30.00 per 30 minutes

$50.00 per full hour
C. Cancellation Policy
A cancellation fee of $275.00 + HST (per day cancelled) will apply unless written notice is provided 60 days in advance of the scheduled rental date.
D. Liability, Insurance, and Security

Insurance: The renter is fully responsible for securing their own liability insurance to cover theft, loss, or damage to the machine.

Security: If the machine is to remain overnight at the renter’s location, an active alarm system is mandatory.
E. Equipment Responsibility and Damage

Responsibility: The renter is fully accountable for the machine, the handpiece(s), and all accessories (including two pairs of protective eyewear).

Damage: In the event of accidental damage, the renter will be charged for repair or replacement costs.

Relocation: Once MLC LASERS installs the machine, it cannot be moved to another room or location without prior authorization.

Cleaning Fee: Machines must be returned in clean condition. A $45.00 (CND) cleaning fee will apply if the equipment is returned in unsanitary condition.
5. MLC Lasers Academy (Certified Courses Only)
These terms apply to all courses, both online and in-person:

Registration: All registration fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified in the course registration agreement.

Online Access: Access to online course materials is granted upon full payment and is subject to usage limitations (e.g., duration of access).

In-Person Training: Specific rules regarding conduct, dress code, and attendance at the facility (160 Cidermill Avenue, Unit 10, Vaughan, ON) must be adhered to.
6. Product Sales
All sales of products are final unless the product is defective upon receipt. Returns for defective products must be reported within 5 days of delivery.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the MLC Lasers website and within the MLC Lasers Academy courses (online and in-person), including text, graphics, logos, and course materials, is the property of MLC Lasers or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without express written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification
A. Disclaimer: MLC LASER Rentals Ontario Ltd. provides room and equipment only. Renters are solely responsible for their clients, treatments, and conduct inside the room, including compliance in case of inspection by regulatory authorities.
B. Limitation: MLC Lasers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the equipment or services.
C. Indemnity: You agree to indemnify and hold MLC Lasers, its directors (including Marina da Luz), officers, and employees, harmless from any claim or demand arising out of your breach of these T&C or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party while using the services.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
